RURAL ILLINOIS MEDICAL STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

What is RIMSAP?

Founded in 1948, the program is sponsored by the Illinois Farm Bureau and the Illinois State Medical Society. It has helped more than 800 qualified applicants overcome financial challenges or borderline academic barriers to pursue a medical education at the University of Illinois. By offering recommendations and loan assistance, the program supports students while also working to ensure a steady supply of doctors for rural communities across Illinois.
